Recent years it was all about Agile. Why 90% of agile projects fail. Which framework is better. New certifications every other week. People arguing about agile ceremonies like it was religion.
Now it’s AI. Which LLM wins. Governance frameworks. Prompt engineering methodologies. The same energy, just different vocabulary.
Oh, and the certifications. I mean… the AI certification industry didn’t exist 18 months ago and somehow it’s already fully formed with logos and LinkedIn badges and everything. I don’t even know how that happens so fast. Respect, honestly. 😀
Most agile teams I ever worked with, genuinely agile, never talked about being agile. They were just… building. Shipping. Breaking things and fixing them. The framework was an afterthought, if it existed at all.
The teams obsessed with the methodology were always the slowest ones.
Same thing is happening with AI right now and it’s a little painful to watch.
It’s a tool. Seriously. A remarkable one, but still a tool. You don’t debate which hammer philosophy is superior before hanging a picture.
Pick something. Build something real. See what breaks. Adjust.
The model rankings will look completely different in 90 days anyway. The teams that shipped will be three iterations ahead.
知行合一 Know it. Build it.
